Hello Adrineh, I saw your comment and wanted to let you know why this show probably isn't on the Art Fair Calendar. Shows need to contact us and let us know that they want to have a listing on our calendar. We have so many shows that we are working with that we don't always have the time to approach shows offering them a listing on our calendar. If a show shows an interest and contacts us, then we will usually add their show.

Thank you, Laura, for the info. I wish I knew about this art fair. It is questionable why this art fair was not showing on the Art Fair Calendar?? I rely on the calendar to pick and sign up for art fairs but this one was not posted!!! I am glad you had a good fair. I'm new to fairs and my first one was big in San Diego Mission Federal art fair, I did really really bad. Basically I didn't make any money. I'm hoping the next ones will be better. Thanks again for your input

Good Things about this Art Fair:
Show was at the Civic center and mall area. Parking lot was free and close by.
Set up and take down easy for me as I had a booth next to the parking lot.
Weather was perfect 75 degrees and sunny. The wind came up and the jewelry person next to me had merchandise blow around, but I was alright.
It can get very hot in the San Fernando Valley.
They treated artists very well. Nice breakfast at a restaurant, tote bags and badges with the name of the show.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
The wind came up and the jewelry person next to me had merchandise blow around, but I was alright.
It can get very hot in the San Fernando Valley and fires do occur.
I Heard from another artist that she lost all her stuff in a wildfire here a few years back.
She'll never risk it again.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
I make stone sculpture. I have done craft shows and zeroed out completely. So I conclude that I'm in fine art.
Calabasas is an affluent enclave made up of many producers and execs. from Hollywood. While old money will not buy art except from KNOWN NAMES, new money will fill their house with what they like.
