Good Things about this Art Fair:
This was the second year for the show and it sparkled with high quality artwork in a beautiful setting - park like with a pond and fountain.
The people who organize the show are tremendous. They work so hard to make the show successful and are so thoughtful of the artists.
Breakfast was provided as was dinner Saturday so artists could mingle and cheer for those who won ribbons!
What could this Art Fair have done better?:
The consistent concern that I have and that other artists expressed is the low traffic. This year advertising and publicity seems to have been increased but sadly it had little effect.
The show was Memorial Day weekend -- so attendance may have suffered from people going out of town. Sales were certainly lower than expectations for many artists.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
I think this show will only get better and it offers a juried set of artists with little to no non-handcrafted work. It feels good to have artistic merit valued.
The artists were a lovely group who supported each other. I spoke with many who look forward to watching the show grow.
Additional Commentary on this Show:
The show had live music and full size puppets as well as a kid's section full of fun art activities.
I noticed people enjoying a glass of wine as they wandered among the tents. Overall, I like this show and these promoters very much and hope it keeps getting better.

Good Things about this Art Fair:
2016 was the first year for Art at Ives. The organizers worked very hard to make the fair a successful event and it will grow.
The quality of the work exhibited was terrific, there were prizes for recognition, artists were treated very well(even a free dinner with music on Saturday), and the location was beautiful.
There were loads of staff to help with set up and take down. Drove right to my booth and parked near by.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
As a first year show, Art at Ives must work to improve signage and attracting larger crowds. There was bad weather on Saturday which may have kept some people away but Sunday was gorgeous and still small crowds.
Sales for me covered my expenses but were disappointing for many. Despite that, the artists I spoke to said they wanted to come back next year.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
This is a juried show and the jury comes around to select for the winners in various categories. It seemed well done. The art was diverse but well chosen to avoid overlap in the categories.
The quality was such that I was proud to have been juried into the show.
Additional Commentary on this Show:
This show has the potential to become a premium show.
