I have done ONE (and will be my LAST) show by AFFPS - Randall Fox makes the entire experience miserable - he is very rude and condenscending to vendors; he has a horrible attitude - as much as we pay to be vendors in shows, we do not deserved to be treated the way we are. He was complaining about my tent leg being on the sidewalk, when I had barely gotten my tent open, much less set in place - he was rude from the moment I walked up, literally. Most shows are happy to have you there; he acts like he could care less - do NOT do any shows with these people!

Good Things about this Art Fair:
Good location in Atlanta.
Deborah, one of the promoters, was awesome. It was my first time and she was very helpful, giving me suggestions to improve my booth without being rude at all and checking in a couple of times each day.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
While it seemed to me that there were a lot of people, they were not buying. Admittedly, this was my first show, so take what I say with a grain of salt, but the artists around me had 10-20 years experience and all said it was a very poor show for them as well.
We also had to dolly our work in with no easy way to get to our spot, and Randall, the promoter, was extremely rude to us while we were setting up. We had some stuff next to the path, protruding a LITTLE onto the pathway, during set up time while we were getting ready, and he comes past us at basically a sprint, screams over his shoulder without bothering to stop "GET THAT STUFF OFF THE SIDEWALK" in such a rude tone that my husband wanted to go after him and tell him off. Others commented that this is Randall on his best behavior.
There was very little artist parking (probably exacerbated by the fact that I-85 had actually caught fire that week so traffic was very bad). We had to park about a mile away.
We were told there would be help and free water for artists, apparently this means that a volunteer will gallop past once a day and throw a single bottle of water at you.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
Get there early to find parking.

Thank you so much for your review of Spring Fest on Ponce- I am debating whether to accept an invitation to the Fall Fest on Ponce. Your review was extremely helpful, and while we were leaning towards accepting, now I am thinking that would or could be a huge mistake.
I'm curious about your sentence that the organizer was quick to throw out am artist- do you know on what basis this happened. That is very weird.
and the fact that you only rated your sales a "1" is the clincher. We could put up with some rudeness if the $$$ is there, but a "1" tells me it was an overall terrible show.
Thanks so much for taking the time to post your review, you really helped out another artist!

Good Things about this Art Fair:
Good location in Atlanta.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
Poor attendance. Co-owner/promoter (AFFPS) has a real bad attitude towards the artists and forgets that the artists pay them to be in these shows.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
DO NOT ATTEND ANY SHOWS IN ATLANTA THAT AFFPS, (Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces) promotes or manages.
Randall Fox, the co-owner has a real bad attitude towards the artists and will throw you out without blinking and eye about it. Several artists and myself have had several run-ins with him. The other co-owner has quit the shows and has moved out of state.
