Good Things about this Art Fair: Extremely wonderful staff, helpful and friendly. Nice location on the main drag in downtown Farmington.
Bad Things about this Art Fair: Parking was a little confusing. Lack of buyers. My sales were poor (slightly better than break even) and as I watched folks walking around, there were few people carrying purchases. Other artists I spoke to had similar observations and sales, or worse sales.nOne factor outside of the organizers control was the weather. While it didn't really rain (except right at close on first night) the threat was constantly looming. Also, there were really terrible gusts of wind (a couple of booths/ tents were heavily damaged)
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show: My opinion is the economy has not seen a strong recovery in this area and/ or folks have not been trained to shop at this event. There was a lot of really low dollar product and some buy/ sell. The lower dollar booths (yard art, a guy selling bifocals, etc) seemed to be doing ok, but the mid price and higher end artists appeared to have flat sales. If your expenses were extremely minimal, it may be profitable. The organizers were great, but the buyers and weather weren't.
