Good Things about this Art Fair: *
Located at Riverwalk, this is a senic, shady location for most.
Coffee and rolls every morning. Saturday evening snacks and drinks but few attended. New, permanent restrooms.
Event put on by ArtCenter Manatee, an educational and gallery opportunity in Bradenton.
What could this Art Fair have done better?:
They could have given middle-of-circle tents that were back-to-back, more room in back of their tents.
Art league needs to find a way to convince more affluent among locals to support local art show.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
Dolly in to your spot over bricks and sand. Parking to get unloaded is tricky. They did secure parking across the street for artists.
Many attendees wander off riverwalk/bike path, not many art buyers; mostly families bringing children to the park, so low-end may sell.
Additional Commentary on this Show:
A walk east on the Riverwalk will bring you to Mattisons cafe (across from skate park). Good food and drinks. There is nowhere else to go that we could find. No food trucks at ArtFest. One hotdog vendor.
I received a substantial award at this show, which saved my bacon.
