Good Things about this Art Fair:
Coffee and donuts great.
Parking and set up worked fine.
What could this Art Fair have done better?:
Compared to other art/craft events of this caliber, their booth fee is too high.
Attendance on Sunday is very low.
Tear down was a mess. We were all informed that we would not be able to bring vehicles in until notified coast was clear of people ... but, people were pulling in with vans and trailers right at closing time and before they tore down. This blocked the roads so others who did tear down first couldn't get their vehicles in.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
My analysis is due to the fact I had 2 sales Saturday and 1 sale Sunday of items $175 to $365 ... to locals.
The event is crowded with tourists off the streets of St. Augustine with its rows of shops full of imitation art. The affluent locals that come out are few but they are your customers, not town visitors.
A neighbor photographer with art on canvas and the lady selling rag rugs said they did okay. Other 2D artists I talked to did poorly.
Additional Commentary on this Show:
I don't do well at shows with "crafts" in the show name. Well, I need to remind myself of that fact from time to time.
