Good Things about this Art Fair:
Location seemed to be good. Nice selection of restaurants, clean bathrooms. Snacks for artists.
What could this Art Fair have done better?:
I’ve done several events with Blue Lotus and they’ve been ok. This one was a doozy. There was no advertising, even the residents who lived at the apartments looking down on the art show didn’t know what was going on.
One of the show helpers had a nervous breakdown and took it out on us. The vibe was so negative and Sales were so bad some artists packed up Saturday night.
Some artists had no weights on their tents in windy conditions. Everyone was confused during setup and there was very little direction as management arrived late. In the 6 years I’ve been doing art shows I’ve never experienced this level of unprofessionalism.
This is the first time I’ve given negative feedback for an art show but it’s well deserved.
