What could this Art Fair have done better?:
An earlier load in would have been nice but I can see that 7PM was likely the earliest they could get the streets closed.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
Seems to be a cheap crowd over in Cape Coral so I doubt if much on the high end does well there.
prepare for a bit of a hassle getting registered and loaded in as the cue lines up at 7 and it's an hour or more long line
Additional Commentary on this Show:
The year I did the Cape Coral show is 2019 which is not available as a choice on your form which only goes up to 2018!

Good Things about this Art Fair:
This is a very well run show, with friendly, helpful volunteers.
Load in was organized and efficient, load out was no problem. They said they spent $40k on advertising (I saw billboards, heard radio ads, and saw it on the local news) and the crowds were definitely there, but they weren't buying all that much.
What could this Art Fair have done better?:
They apparently changed a bunch of things this year, including adding a music component and a vendor/non-profit component. Both were in separate areas, but the promotion wasn't clear on the hours.
The art festival ended at 5 on Sat and the music festival continued to 9. That wasn't explained clearly to patrons and they were complaining about the art booths closing "early."
There were also some food booths located directly across from art booths. There was smoke blowing over from the grills into the booths.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
The show was well organized and run and the Rotary made it very easy and pleasant to participate. There were plenty of people in attendance, although not many were buying on Saturday.
I spoke with the show director at one point and she commented that the show is known for "shoppers" on Saturday and "buyers" on Sunday. That was my observation. Most of the booths around me seemed busier on Sunday.
Additional Commentary on this Show:
I had the misfortune of being placed between an artist selling nostalgic photographs he hand colored (I'm a photographer, so I wasn't thrilled about that), and a suspected buy/sell booth (who won an award btw)... both were attracting large crowds in their booths.
Most people bypassed me altogether to see what all the commotion was about on either side. So this wasn't a good show for me, but I'm pretty sure I would have done better in a different location.
