Good Things about this Art Fair:
The people running the fair are nice people and seem to care. Set up was mostly OK. Parking was really no problem. Portable bathrooms were terrific. Security very professional.
What could this Art Fair have done better?:
The $64,000 question is how does an art fair attract customers who are interested in buying art. The people attending this fair were mostly killing time and weren't interested in buying art even though the promoter was charging a small entrance fee.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
If your work is fine art, this is probably not the show for you. If you are selling low priced decor that seemed to be what people were buying.
A few buyers were there and only a few and almost everyone was from out of town and were visiting so you need to be prepared to ship. There were artists dropping prices in order to make expenses.
Additional Commentary on this Show:
I am probably not going to do this show again. My work is more expensive than the attendees of this event want.
Other artists who have nicer stuff had the same result. If you could dumb down your work so you could sell it at a lower price that would probably be better. I'll give some examples. Cheaper mattes, frame-less or no glazing.
