Good Things about this Art Fair:
Easy in & out. Destin is so beautiful so I made a beach vacation out of it.
It was Mother's Day weekend so it helped that I sold jewelry. High end buyers. There is some absolutely stunning art work at this show (I felt like the kid at the grown up table!).
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
VERY light crowds. Despite several empty booths they still had booths tucked back where there was no foot traffic.
Additional Commentary on this Show:
The Saturday crowd was ok. Sunday was a big fat yawn. I did have a good show, but I really feel that it was primarily due to those buying Mother's Day gifts.
Several artists remarked that it was one of the slowest years they had there, but sold some big pieces so it turned out ok. Honestly, I would have been ok just to cover costs because there are no beaches more beautiful than Destin's, but I did end up making good money.
P.S. If you have an RV stay at Camp Gulf!
