Good Things about this Art Fair:
Danna Tullis is a very knowledgeable and organized promoter. She and her husband try to please every artist and they are helpful no matter what your problem is. Their show locations are very nice and the loading is easy.
I will do 3 shows this year (2017) with them.
What could this Art Fair have done better?:
I can't find any faults...
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
This is an easy, well organized show with very nice people. Enjoy that you don't have to work too hard...the promoters Danna Tullis and her husband do all the preliminary work.
Additional Commentary on this Show:
Very helpful for new artists.

This is a beautiful show location in a lovely mountain town. Many of the artists were happy to note that we had a "live remote" radio show producer that came around and interviewed guests and artists - and that more attendees came as a result asking specifically for the interviewed artists. This was in addition to the 5 radio stations that advertised the show for 2 weeks prior and during - both locally and to their broadcast range in other counties.
2016 had good attendance. This is partly due to the increased county level advertising to bring tourists to the area. We distributed more then 30 posters - at least a dozen to downtown locations, and to the library, post office, coffee shops, pubs, city offices and many more places. Additional posters were in nearby towns. We did a lot of paid targeted social media advertising (Facebook).
We are grateful to the artists who make this a spectacular show and every year we gain good reputation and more attendance.

Apparently nothing has changed with the promotion or management of this show. I did it 6 years ago with equally poor results. No advertising; there was one sign in the window of a store downtown, poor location; in a park off the main street so no-one knows it's there (see previous comment on advertising). Buyer beware!

Good Things about this Art Fair:
Location was really nice. Nice park right on the Arkansas River. Lots of trees, pretty spot.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
Nobody came. Attendance was pitiful. The promoter obviously did not do a good job of bringing the buyers in. Nobody around me sold anything. Everyone was complaining about attendance and sales.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
Do your homework about this promoter. The common theme is that they don't care about the artists, and that attendance and sales are poor at all of their events.
Additional Commentary on this Show:
Its unfortunate. The location for this event is amazing. Attendance was incredibly low. I had no expectations, but it was even worse than the previous show I did with this promoter in Colorado Springs.
There were only about 60 vendors, too many buy/sell and a lot of no shows. There were too many photographers in the show and they put 3 of us within spitting distance of each other.
I would rather have been declined than be one of too many similar artists.

Good Things about this Art Fair:
Beautiful location in a mountain town in Colorado along the Arkansas River.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
Poor attendance, poor management - no packets, no name tags, no survey sheet, booth signs handed out an hour after show began, inadequate advertising, requests extra insurance naming them in your already-existing policy.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
Do not consider applying to any of the five shows that this promoter - Colorado Events and Festivals handles -- Denver Berkeley Park Art and Music Festival, Pikes Peak Art & Music Festival, Salida Riverside Fine Arts Festival, Denver Sloan's Lake Art & Music Festival and Parker Arts & Music Festival
