Did the show again this year, though, it wasn't quite up to last years show, I still made out.

The show is well organized and well run, my block captain worked her butt off. The people are great and the artists are friendly. I know, but how was the money? Like I said, lower than last year but I'll still be back next year.

At the end of the show, I was tired and beat up. A store owner, a guy named Des came over and asked me if I wanted some help loading my truck. I thanked him for his offer but that's the kind of person that can make you decide to come back next year. So, next year, if you find yourself around Park Ave. on the 5th, stop in, say hi, I'll be the guy in booth # 454.

Had a great time at this show, this being my first time showing here.

The crowds had money to spent. Though, I didn't sell any originals, most of my prints were sold out.

The girls who were in charge of my section were very attentive, as apposed to a show I just finished where there where none to be found. They even bought me a Deep Fried Oreo.

Setting up wasn't to bad except for some showers, breaking down was a bit more of a hassle.

This was my first year at Park Ave and only my second year of exhibiting. I'll admit, I'm not an authority but this show was one of the best ones that I had so far this season. The show, area, and presentation by the organizers was great.

I definitely will be back next year.

Good Things about this Art Fair:
This festival is in a "old money" area of the city of Rochester, and has wonderful mature trees that line the streets giving highly desired shade.

The area has a great mix of people. Many college students partying, gay community, millennials and older couples.

Street Managers were very helpful and visible. The judges this year made themselves known and spent time to consider their choices.

Bad Things about this Art Fair:
Many vendors have to pay for parking. Our first year we paid $50 to park for the weekend and that was tough as 2D art sale curve is far different from a craft sale.

My street manager helped me to discover a place to park close by and for free.

The Load Out can be frustrating if you are not aware that you will not get out for an hour after the show closes.

In order to get people to clear the streets they literally have street cleaning machines come in. The first year we were not aware of this and it caused us some distress but since then we have planned our time differently and planned around it.

Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
This is more of a music, food and craft festival. Not really a fine art show.

They have a nice mix of things for sale and give about 13 $300 awards, which is essentially your booth fee back.

If your items really require a lot of talking to your clients I would imagine that being placed near a live band might be challenging.

Also since so many college parties are going on there has been some vandalism of booths on Saturday night.... be sure to take all your merchandise with you. We always lower our tent so it is not as much of a target as others and it has never been a problem.

Additional Commentary on this Show:
Customers were very considerate which is not always the case at some shows.

What prompted you to submit a review today?
My daughter has graduated from art school and we are trying to choose shows, and the reviews are key. So I decided to leave mine for others this year.
