Good Things about this Art Fair:
Load in was a breeze. Steve has golf carts to help you bring your stuff to your spot.
Beautiful location in a park between cowboys stadium and rangers ballpark.
Steve and Janis are awesome to work with. He is an artist and wants us all to succeed.
The weather finally cooperated this year and all three days were gorgeous. A new layout this year made the flow so much better.
What could this Art Fair have done better?:
As always more crowds = more sales. There were a couple of lulls during the afternoon but my overall sales for the weekend were good.

Good Things about this Art Fair:
The park is beautiful. Lots of shade trees. The music was good. People did buy. All sized packages were going by. Buying customers know of this show and come for it. Just not in droves.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
Have to dolly from the parking lot across the grassy parts to your spot. They had golf carts to assist. At closing you were supposed to be all packed before a golf cart came. People "said they were ready" but were not to get a cart reserved.
Since it took so long for carts by the time the cart came, they were ready. You had to wait hours for golf cart at closing.
Entry was easier as it was more staggered. No artist amenities. No free water. A volunteer came for break once a day.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
The show is in a beautiful setting. The location is pretty good. They advertise on TV, my friend who lives there heard it. Not enough people come. It could be because it has changed dates from prior years. It has potential. I will do it again. Worth a try if you're in the area.
Additional Commentary on this Show:
I don't know how many attended. Not a lot. When music was playing, everyone was on the green watching and listening. When it stopped, depending on the time of the day, people came and looked. Many times during the day, people weren't there.

Good Things about this Art Fair:
Fantastic location, great people putting on the show, great music, great weather.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
I think the central theme of this event is too much towards the music. The bands were great, but too many people came for the free concerts and not to buy art.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
If you sell jewelry you might do well, if you have visual arts maybe not. Everyone around me was complaining that there were no buyers. We all congratulated each other if someone sold 1 thing!
I lost money and so did many others around me. Great compliments on my work, but too many strollers. If you live close by you might stand a chance. If you have to travel, you won't.
Additional Commentary on this Show:
The promoters of this show work hard and are very nice. But the buyers were not there. I don't know if it has to do with the Texas economy or just the demographics.
They moved this show to May to get better weather than previous years (which it was), but it didn't seem to help sales.
