First time doing Art's & Apples, traveled from San Francisco. Very Happy I did. I sell only Coats & Jackets so decided to go where I believed they need them. I was correct. Load in & out was fine, they are organized & people did not complain about my price point. My coats start at $395 & go up to $695. I may go back if I can stack shows in the Midwest again.

Good Things about this Art Fair:
Art and Apples is located in a nice park in Rochester, Michigan. It is put on by Paint Creek Art Center. The show has all the ingredients for a great event; location, time of year, longevity and demographics.
The load in is well organized. The booth space is ample with plenty of room in the back of booth for storage.
The flow of the show is ok. There are two sections of artists with food vendors in the middle.
Load out requires some patience, but everyone seems to cooperate.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
This was my second year at A & A. My husband and the fact that I was invited back sans jury fee convinced me to "try it again". I sell wearable weaving; scarves and mobius shawls.
Much like last year, people beelined to my tent to look at my Mobius, oohed, aahed, then looked at the 235.00 price tag and dropped it like it burned their fingers. The next thing I saw was their backside leaving the tent with their bag of kettle corn securely in hand.
There was some good art and there was some questionable art. Perhaps the jury was looking for all price points.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
Booth fee is $450 for a 2.5 day show. There are plenty of reasonably price places to stay within 10 miles of the show. BUT, this is a very price sensitive crowd with very few "true shoppers".

Good Things about this Art Fair:
This year was the 50th anniversary of the show. The location of the art show was in a beautiful park.
The organizers were very communicative and responsive during the application process and before the show.
It was well organized during load in and load out. The quality of the art was very good with a few exceptions.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
There was nothing "bad" about the Art Fair.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
Be prepared for some "art ignorant" patrons who are not afraid to express their opinion to you about your cost of your work.
