Good Things about this Art Fair:
Accessibility: Not only was it easy to access booth space to set up, but seemed to be easily accessible for customers. There was a constant stream of customers most of the day.

Artist support: There was a nice room set up with food and snacks for the artists, and the staff was good about bringing around water throughout the day.

Quality of artwork: Nice quality and variety of work. There is a group of artists in the local area called Nickel Plate Arts. I think several of them were in the show. There weren't too many jewelry artists, and no buy-sell that I was aware of.

Awards: There were a few awards given for artists, and there was also a drawing from a hat where all artists could put their cards. I was the happy recipient of a nice gift card from Dick Blick (which I have already used, thank you very much)

Bad Things about this Art Fair:
If it had been a cold rainy day it would have been a bad show, just like any show. Thankfully the weather was absolutely perfect. I got no complaints.

Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
If you live in the area and don't mind all the work it takes to set up for a one day show, then do the show! And when people come to your booth, get up off your chair and talk with them!

You will definitely find customers here for your work and make good connections. I sure did, and it started even before I was totally set up.

Additional Commentary on this Show:
Lesley Haflich is the show coordinator and she did a good job organizing and communicating before and during the show.

I had learned about the show after the deadline, actually from Robert Wallis, a fellow Art Fair Insider. I contacted her anyway, and once I emailed her my jury images and booth shot she invited me in.

Since I was the last one to get in the show, there was only one spot available, and that happened to be right next to her booth. It was nice getting to know her and sharing our corner for the day.

What prompted you to submit a review today?
I did the show and was pleased with it.
