Good Things about this Art Fair:
Anything poppy related sold! There were lots of people in the late afternoons to see the musicians.
The people around me were nice. Move in was ok. I happened to get very close to my spot.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
It was more crafty not arty. There were promotional people there scattered all around.
There were plants being sold from several tents.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
Anything remotely looking like poppies sold. Anything red sold. Everything I made specially for this show poppy related sold first. It brought them into my tent.
A lot of other people had high sales. The double booth behind me with metal yard art sold out. They did not make their stuff.
Additional Commentary on this Show:
Lots of people attend this show. Mostly for the music. The day people are there mostly for their children. They buy stuff, not necessarily very artsy.
I had decent sales but was expecting much more. It is worth it if you don't have to be around all "artists" but you better have poppies in your repertoire.

Good Things about this Art Fair:
The people who attended this festival were eager to see the artists and more importantly were willing to spend money on quality arts and crafts.
The location is very nice...around the Town Square.
Good attendance. Electricity is included in your booth fee. You were welcome to stay open as late as you wanted, although most artists shut down by 8pm.
The fire dept. actually came through and made sure that the tents were weighted properly! Having been through a show with tents flying that were not weighted properly I really appreciated this!
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
The promoters do not send you a lot of information, but the information received was adequate. Responses to questions were slow.
No special artist amenities as in food, drink, feedback, etc.
There is live music, semi well known groups and childrens' activities but these did not seem to distract from those visiting the artist booths.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
I am a fine beaded (pearl & gemstone) artist and as everyone knows this category is swamped. In fact there were 3 of us located adjacent to one another.
However, our styles were soooo different I don't think that it hurt our sales at all. This is one of the best shows financially that I have done in awhile.
It can be hot in Texas even in late April. I brought cool wraps, sunscreen, and a floor fan to help keep cool. If you travel far or have a lot of out of pocket expenses this may need to be factored into whether this would be a good show for you. Since it is an easy 20 minutes from home for me it was an ideal show.
