Good Things about this Art Fair:
Fantastic all around. While I have participated in this show eight years running I was pleasantly surprised by my sales this year. All other shows were down, as is often the case on election years, however I did between 30 to 40 times my booth fee this year. Usually it's more in the range of 20 to 30 times here.

This remains one of my favorite shows. The organizers and volunteers are fantastic and they put on the best artists party I've ever had the pleasure of attending. They rent a two story club and put on one heck of a spread. Free beer and wine and a fantastic feast sure to satisfy after a hard day's work.

Awards are great as well.

What could this Art Fair have done better?:
Not much, in my humble opinion.

Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
If you are in the square it is very dusty, so be prepared to handled that.

Weather can be unpredictable from year to year (welcome to Florida). Be sure to weight your tents properly and be prepared for warm weather to turn cold and vice versa. You may have 70 degree weather on Friday and 40 degree temps on Saturday. Plan your wardrobe accordingly.

I am from Pensacola... several artist and I started the Art show way back in the 60's... much has changed.

This show seems to be primarily a social event...where everyone walks around sipping their cocktails. Attendance was average... sales were poor.
The location has changed so much over the years... and they made no effort in dust control. Straw hay spread along walking paths would have helped a lot.

I sold some paintings... but the dust and dirt was so bad...I won't return. The load in and load out was total chaos. The red tape you have to deal with is obtrusive.

Good Things about this Art Fair: *
This was my first time at the Great Gulfcoast Art Festival and I was blown away! I do fantasy art, dragons, knights, faeries and such, and was pleasantly surprised I was juried in. Neat to see juries are thinking outside the box.

The Show had GORGEOUS art, from photography to ceramics, musical instruments to outsider art.

The Dinner after the first night of the Show was astounding---raw oysters, jumbalaya, shrimp alfredo, spinach artichoke, wings, veggies and free beer and wine! An amazing spread for at least 300 people.

I did well at the Show, I sold lots of prints and had some nibbles on my larger originals. Hopefully I'll jury in next year. Love the Show, they did a great job! Highly recommended!

Bad Things about this Art Fair:
Hmmmm....it was dusty but that was about it! I just cleaned up my frames and prints and I was fine!

Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
Try to do this Show, they really treat artists wonderfully and I'll hopefully be juried in next year!

Loved the Show and I'd like it to thrive!
