Good Things about this Art Fair:
Staff is great. Lots of help to set up. Facilities just for artists (like private bathrooms - thank you!).
Coffee, pastries, fruit on Saturday. (This is a Friday evening/Saturday show). Tear down was easy.
Additional Commentary on this Show:
This was my first time at Art-a-Licious. I've talked with lots of other artists this year who said "Oh, yeah. I've done that show." But none were going back and I understand why: no sales.
Staff does what it can to make your show good. Lots of volunteers. Good communication in the packets. Very friendly. But at the end of the day it's about sales and I talked with very, very few that had a good show.
Friday night (4-8 p.m.) was wasted time. Of the six booths immediately near me, only two had any Friday sales and those were modest.
Saturday was better but not enough sales to warrant a repeat visit once you add up all expenses for out-of-towners.
I sold a total of three items. One was a big piece of wall art which helped tremendously. But even the $20 prints weren't moving. If I were a local artist - and didn't have lodging expenses - I might consider it.
It's really sad because the staff and volunteers treat the artists as nice as any show I've been to.

Good Things about this Art Fair:
Great amenities for the artists. Application process is easy. Booth fee is very reasonable.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
Weather is very iffy at this time of year in Adrian, Michigan. I have participated in this show for 5 years and it seems that every year at least one of the days is bad weather...hail, rain, sudden thunderstorm.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
Adrian is supportive of the arts....there is an art program at the local college and there are several quality artists living in the area.
This is not a very affluent area so price points need to be on the lower end. I have items between $12 - $180 and the bulk of my sales at this show are for items priced below $80.
Additional Commentary on this Show:
This year was an unusually hard year for all of the artists as the show was hit with a sudden thunderstorm. Tents were destroyed because they were improperly weighted. Something I will not be shy about questioning at future shows I attend. Nothing is scarier then seeing tents blow and roll down the street. I suspect that show organizers will see to it that future shows have a mandatory weight requirement for each leg.
On the bright side the show promoters are having a make up one day art show to help artists who had damaged tents and property. Great for artists who live nearby.
