Good Things about this Art Fair:
Except for a few things, you really couldn't tell it was their first year for having an art fair. They not only appreciated the artist but catered to them as well.
The most important thing though, they asked every artist in attendance to complete a survey asking for ways they could improve in the following years. I have already noticed that they have taken some of the advice that has been given.
They have committed to doing this show for at least five years, so at the very least there will be an art fair until 2019.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
It was the first year for this art fair and it turned out to be incredibly hot.
This area usually has high numbers at all their events, even first year events, but the heat proved to be too much for most people.
Also, there was no advertising done outside of the city of Wildwood.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
They do have other activities going on at the event that weekend. Including a local parade, car show and bands that play rather loudly.
The only time any of these things blocked a potential sale was when the fireworks started and 2 almost buyers ran out of the tent to watch the show.
Additional Commentary on this Show:
If you are planning on participating in the 2015 show, keep in mind that it is only it's 2nd year. However the people running the show are very interested in making it a successful event, and it shows. They not only value their artists, but they cater to them as well.

Good Things about this Art Fair:
This was the first year for the event and the organizers did their very best to do a quality job. Very friendly, helpful, provided food and a cool off area, it was very hot and they provided water on a very regular basis.
I was able to park about 50 feet from my location. Booth fee was reasonable at $100.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
Attendance very poor. Believe that this was due to a combination of things - Very hot weather (hottest weekend of the year with heat index of about 110F), location at the western edge of the population area, first year event.
I had sales of $65 although I believe that I exceeded those of the people on either side of me. Another photographer across from me sold I believe about $500 and at the previous show in excess of $2,000.
Some nice art but also some crafts, little in the high end.
Very affluent area although those in attendance seemed reluctant to spend much.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
If held again in August, beware of the possibility of very hot weather. Not sure that even with good weather, that the attendance will be great due to its location and see below.
This is a small art fair that is being held in an area that I believe is getting saturated with art fairs, I would guess over 20, including two of the best in the nation (St. Louis and Belleville).
Additional Commentary on this Show:
The people that are putting on this art fair are dedicated and working hard to succeed but I believe that too many factors are against them.
I hope that they will succeed but I will be bypassing the event in the future.
