Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
It's what art shows should be, about art, not kiddie entertainment or loud music. Not a big show, but a very good one.

Good Things about this Art Fair:
Jerry Scaveeze, an artist, runs this show so he is very responsive to the needs of artists, how many promoters have you seen wheeling water around to artists? He brought this show to the main drag of
Salida so that people would attend.
Small show; under 100 artists
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
Like just about every show I've done this year attendance and sales were hard to come by. It seemed as though artists were fewer this year also.
If your booth is on the busy street side it can be very noisy.
Load-in and out is usually pretty easy as it is a small park.
This is prime time on the Arkansas River and there is a Beer Festival on the Saturday of the show so local accommodations may be hard to come by.
There is a Beer Festival on Saturday.

Hello Kay, Yes, you are correct. I started checking into the Salida and Salida Riverside show and realized I needed to make a correction. It has been corrected and I thank you have having a good eye to catch that mistake.

Just a comment on one of the above reviews- I think the first review might be referring to the OTHER art festival in Salida- the (Riverside one) that's held along the river, rather than this one which is in a nice park along Hwy 50 (The Salida Arts Festival). I participated in the 2015 "The Salida Arts Festival"- it was great, and I will definitely be back- thoughtful, supportive promoters. Others have suggested to me that I avoid the Riverside fair.

Good Things about this Art Fair:
Well organized. Great selection of artists. Nice location.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
This is a fairly new fair, so attendance was just ok. But I talked with customers who had come from all over, heard about the show, and came just for it. That is a good sign.
I believe this show will grow and get better every year.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
If you are near by, and have the weekend free I would consider doing it. It still has some growing to do.
Additional Commentary on this Show:
I enjoyed the show. I loved visiting Salida. I will probably be doing it again.
