Good Things about this Art Fair:
Great volunteers to help with load in, booth sitting, water, etc.
Very art friendly crowd. Great food choices nearby.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
It can get very gusty by Lake Michigan, so proper tent anchoring is very important. Every year it seems like someone loses a canopy or some work because of the wind.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
There is an annual alumni event for University of Chicago the first weekend in June. So, on Saturday there's a very well heeled clientele with recognizable name badges that have a relatively high disposable income. I had twice the sales on Saturday as I had on Sunday.
Additional Commentary on this Show:
This was my first year doing this show. It was better than average, but for next year I will bring a batch of slightly more reasonable earrings to suit the local resident crowd on Sunday. They are very friendly and I got tons of compliments and new names to add to my contact list, but Sunday's traffic was notably a more moderate income.
