Good Things about this Art Fair:
The staff is very helpful, attentive and positive. Someone was checking on me every 15 to 20 minutes.

The load in and load out was very easy - I pulled right up to my spot.

I like that it's a 1 day show. This is a respected, established show and the crowds are art smart and appreciative.

Bad Things about this Art Fair:
I don't consider this exactly bad, but if you have a great show like I did, 20% commission can add up. However, this is a non-profit and all the proceeds go to art and scholarships in the area.

Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
Bring shims as the site has unlevel areas.

I don't trust a board member's review, sorry.

Good Things about this Art Fair:
First my disclosure - I exhibit and I am on the board for this art show.

The best thing about this show are the people. 2014 will be our 51st year doing this show and there is a lot of community support and participation. Last year we had around $14,000 in award money. Lots of cold water for artists, booth sitters, breakfast on Friday and Saturday and dinner during set up on Friday night. The Scouts are there to help you unload and setup if you need it. This community loves the artists and they show up and purchase art. Parking is close and if you get there early it is easier to pull up to your booth space. If you have an RV there is a place a block away to park.

Bad Things about this Art Fair:
Bluff Park is only a one day show. But our community and attendees know this so they come out ready to make their purchases. The park that is the site of the show is not very big and has hilly areas and large rocks/boulders/trees. There are areas that are level on asphalt for those with glass and pottery or other fragile artwork.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
Bring lots of shims, bricks, and other items to help level your tent and display furniture. If you need anything there are several board members that walk the park during set up to help you out.
