Good Things about this Art Fair:
Good downtown location in Rockford. Near art museum. Easy to load/unload. Is a fall tradition so many people look forward to this show.

What could this Art Fair have done better?:
Can't think of anything other than to have more strategically located rest room facilities

Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
Show is juried. Seems to have an abundance of jewelry. Would be nice to see more variety: paintings, photography, sculpture, etc.

Additional Commentary on this Show:
Submitted this review on the blog: I attended this art fair for the first time this past weekend, September 16-17, 2017. The traffic was excellent on Saturday and I did really well in terms of sales.

Traffic and sales were down for me on Sunday but all in all a good show...a little over $1000 for the weekend.

Met many nice people and was set up next to a photographer from Aurora, IL. Dave Barnes and his wife Donna are very nice and made the weekend more fun. I bought a photograph on canvas from Dave...picture of four Ibis taken in the ocean...Sanibel Island, FL.

Another juried show with approximately 130 vendors. I will apply to this show again next year

Pros: Staff were all wonderful. Load in was excellent. Weather was great. Sales were good enough that I want to do the show again next year. The museum hosted an artist breakfast that was more than just bagels and coffee.

Cons: Yellowjackets. They were everywhere. It couldn't be helped.

Good Things about this Art Fair:
It was great weather which always helps. I was near the entertainment and burger station so there were lots of people in that area. The entire set up was great. It was easy to walk around and see everything.

They had a breakfast and after party for the artists. We were allowed use of the nice bathrooms not the porta pottys. We had great parking right across the street and people helped each other out. Very nice show indeed.

Bad Things about this Art Fair:
I never wanted it to end. Nothing bad to say at all.

Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
Downtown Rockford is a tad dangerous at night. Just be careful of where you're heading. There's lot's of restaurants and hotels, it's a safer area as you go farther down State St. just past the hospital.
