Good Things about this Art Fair:
got to stay with a friend, if you have to hotel it, the sales wont justify the effort/cost.

What could this Art Fair have done better?:
New promoter was rude and confused . They need to maintain better quality products, and NO anderson window guys!!! I couldn't believe it when I saw that!! Plus, he had zero weights on his ezup, and it was windy.

Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
Hotels are very salty in this area.

Not the level or quality of work I would expect.

Additional Commentary on this Show:
Again, if you're going to "jury" makers in, don't have commercial vendors!

Good Things about this Art Fair:
This is the 3rd year I`ve done this show - 2nd in this particular location. It is held in the area high school parking lot, which has very ample space for customers to walk between the booths. They advertise well, and the staff and volunteers are excellent! This artsy town is a very popular tourist area , and they have shuttle buses to take people back to town and back and forth to the parking lots. Very organized for load in-load out, and the portapot facilities are serviced between the days. This may not seem important, but with the amount of traffic this show gets, it ranked high on my plus list.

They also hold a lovely artists reception Friday evening, followed by a train ride that lasts about an hour. The food for the reception is supplied by area restaurants, of which this area is known for.

Bad Things about this Art Fair:
Nothing I can think of.

Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
generally accommodations in this area are pricey, so if you need to stay overnight, and you don`t use a camper or trailer, try to stay in a surrounding area like one of the suburbs in Jersey. You will still only be 20 min.- 1/2 hr. away, but will be paying way less. It is a local show for me, so I don`t need to worry about that. If you don`t pay for a premium spot, you will have very little wiggle room on either side of your tent, but will have about 3 ft. behind you for storage. The food court is pretty limited to what they have to offer, so I would bring what I want. There is a Wawa very close to pick something up on your way in.

Additional Commentary on this Show:
This year in particular, I was a bit dismayed when I took my first walk around Sat. morning to see how many jewelers were in the show. I figured this would most certainly be a bust for me. I don`t think it mattered at all. There were less jewelers last year, and I had a better year this year. The artists around me all had decent sales as well. There were 2 potters, a fiber artist, and 2 other jewelers right in my immediate vicinity. All but 1 potter said they would be back next year, and that potter traveled a distance, and just wasn`t sure.

Saturday was busier for me than Sunday, but that wasn`t the case for others that I spoke to. The crowd was also very different. Saturday was a art buying crowd, while Sunday was more a family day They had wonderful musicians all weekend, which also made the surroundings very pleasant. People definitely bring their dogs out to this festival, so if you have a problem with that, you probably shouldn`t do this show. I would say 50% of the customers had their dogs - on leashes, in buggies, in pouches, you name it! I love it though, and since none have peed on my tablecloths yet, I`m okay with it!
