Good Things about this Art Fair:
The FAMA does a wonderful job of taking care of the artists at this show. I had a problem with the booth next to me (no, I'm not a complainer) and they handled it immediately and tactfully. They also provided drinks, snacks and booth sitters if needed. Check-in was seamless and they even gave the artist t-shirts!
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
It got pretty warm - but it is Tucson! The worst part of the fair is the sheer size - there are 400+ booths stretched over several city blocks so patrons have to be willing to walk a lot and (hopefully) carry their treasures. Parking can be a bit of a deal too.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
If you want to avoid having to walk blocks from parking, get to this show early. Patrons arrive before the booths are supposed to open to beat the heat and crowds so it is a good idea to get there about an hour before you are required to be there.
Additional Commentary on this Show:
I liked the Street Fair enough to have applied to participate in the Winter show. Also, the FAMA schedules the shows so artists can participate in a similar type show in Tempe, AZ around the same time.

Good Things about this Art Fair:
Tons of people, streets are packed.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
Load in & out is tough being that all cars have to use one side of the street.
Keep in mind this is a college and blue collar town so high end items ($1,000 +) probably won't sell.

Good Things about this Art Fair:
No micro-managing on load in / load out. Great artist support with volunteers bringing water, snacks, providing booth siting. Large crowds all weekend.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
A little difficult setting up on trolley tracks.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
We've heard that due to the trolley tracks the show is going to have to relocate 1-2 blocks to another street. Not sure how that will affect foot traffic flow. We liked the show being on one street instead of multiple streets.
Additional Commentary on this Show:
Overall this was a decent show for us, pretty easy to do and brought in huge crowds. We saw a lot of large wall and garden art leaving the show, lots of packages being carried on Friday and Saturday. Still had the usual mix of artists saying it was good, bad and everything in between.

Good Things about this Art Fair:
First and foremost, it attract 250,000 people. My work goes from $500 to $6000 and I was told this show attracts a working class crowd but it was great both times. The location in the city is great. The people who run the show are great. Every artist I met had a great show. I enjoyed it. The only bad thing was how tight things were in setting up since you can only use one side of the street to park. But you can get right up to your booth. I'm doing the December and March shows and looking forward to it.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
The load in and out are tough.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
It's very important to have a wide price range.
