Good Things about this Art Fair: When I saw the booth layout it looked like I was almost in the street. Well as a last minute add-on I wasn’t complaining. As it turned out I don’t think there was a bad booth placement in the show. Their layout didn’t leave dead ends, people just went around a corner and started another row.
They had on-site parking for artists. Which was one of many thoughtful actions that makes this a great show. I hope I get in again next year!
Bad Things about this Art Fair: On a down note I did lose two rings to theft. I’m not happy about that and I’m trying to figure out a compromise to having them open but not walking off. This is not the fault of the show though, just something artists should be aware of.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show: People started coming before the official start of 10 a.m. I sell mostly handmade rings and my booth was full constantly. I am by myself and when I called for a boothsitter she was there in five minutes! They had a park bathroom with flushing johns! (Yeah!)
Additional Commentary on this Show: I have always wanted to do the Woodland Art Fair but haven’t gotten in. This year I upgraded my photos and got on the waiting list. I got the call and was IN!
We lucked out on the weather this year and the crowds were in a good mood and buying. It was the best show I’ve had this year.
