Good Things about this Art Fair:
The venue is fairly nice, being situated along a restored urban trail next to a stream and by the old courthouse.
Easily one of the least expensive shows one can do between the jury fee and the booth fee.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
Can be hit or miss in terms of crowds and weather. This year weather was great, but the crowd a bit thin. A bit more crafts than art.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
The art crowd here is a bit hit or miss. I've been fortunate that the two years I've shown here, I've had relatively good shows, but it's partially in comparison the low booth fee and that I only live an hour away, so no hotel.
I found the crowd a bit better in 2012 than this year, even though the 2nd half of that Sunday was a rain-out.
I was lucky and sold some of my more expensive pieces while the $20 pieces never moved. Overall, the show seems to skew toward crafts than art, based on many of the booths I saw.
The organizers of the show are great to work with. More community (non-promoter) venues could learn a lesson here: Don't try to make money on the back of artists. Use the venue to promote your community.

I also attended the Yorkfest, 2014, and submitted a review. It was a wonderful venue, well organized, but a bit sleepy as far as sales. I hand dye silk, and think i sold only 2 pieces of silk that weekend. My business partner and husband makes soap, and that was selling well.

Thanks for the review. I live in Maryland and have considered applying for this show. First review I've seen on it.

Booth Fee vs. Your Sales Ratio: Great
Estimated Attendance: 501-10,000 people
Good Things about this Art Fair: Ease of set up in the "rail trail" area where we exhibited; often includes being able to park your vehicle behind your booth space for the weekend. Coffee and donuts for artists, easy check in, booth sitters available, good food choices for sale, good variety of wares for sale. The promoters really listen to constructive suggestions and implement them to make this a good show for all.
Bad Things about this Art Fair: Weather was bad in 2011 and 2012 but that was not anything that could be controlled. Weather was absolute perfection in 2013 and the crowds responded to the weather and increased advertising.
Additional Commentary on this Show (or about this form): We have only participated in this show for 3 years. However our sales have increased each year. I feel Yorkfest has a good shot at being a very strong show once the economy returns to a more show friendly level.
