Good Things about this Art Fair:
Great Show in the heart of Pittsburgh! I love this show, they know what they're doing and how to do it! Lovely people, great music, great food, great sales!
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
Setting up at midnight and doing the show the next day is really rough. I understand why they do it but I wish they could end the previous artists' sessions by 6pm so we could at least be setting up by 9 or 10pm.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
Great show, great attendance. The only rough thing is the set-up time....

Good Things about this Art Fair:
Good assistance from staff and volunteers. Helpful and courteous. They seem to have developed and refined their show procedures to application to load-in/out.
No complaints although many artist still don't like late hour load in/out. Oh well, it's how it's done and it is working.
Lots of people attending, most low end pieces sold although we did have several pieces over $400 sell.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
Can be nasty weather, but 2015 was good.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
Be patient. Show is well organized and this to me is essential as this business is stressful enough to have to deal with staff and volunteers who are not well trained.
Additional Commentary on this Show:
Nice to talk to you Connie. Keep up the good work and thanks for simplifying review site. I like to review. (Sara)

Good Things about this Art Fair:
Very well organized. There were many rules in place that all worked. They sent text messages about weather and other important information.
Lots of volunteers and they were very friendly. This show is well established and people come to buy.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
Set up and tear down is not easy, but if you follow the maps and directions given before the show, you will not be disappointed. Parking was a challenge.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
Well worth all the time it took to set up. Bring a good dolly or two and be prepared to walk several blocks with your things. Well worth the time and effort.

Good Things about this Art Fair:
Great attendance, diverse crowd ready to spend money and support artists!
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
Ugh set up after another artist at night after 11pm in the rain is rough. You have to hand haul all your display and stock with your own cart from the street late at night. No designated parking so you spend $30 a day for parking nearby. Even so...I would do this Faire every weekend if I could!

Good Things about this Art Fair:
Great commutation via artist packet and everything is on the web this year so if you loss something, you can look it up! Great people that are helpful, especially during load in and load out.
Updates via texts about bad weather and what to do. The volunteer booth sitters check and recheck if needed. Great bands to pull in the crowd.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
There are lots a rules but they are there for a reason. If you have a question why just ask and they will tell you why.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
Please read the maps so you know what you are in for since the check in place is a few miles away. And if you are in the park, it is a lot of walking but that have volunteers to help with that.

Did a recon mission today. I have a dodge grand caravan with a trailer. Negotiating an open lot space for the trailer for weekend. Will let you know how that goes. Did see the park area and the "D" session booth area at Gateway plaza. Should be a great show!

I applied there again this year and hope to be accepted again.

This was my very first show, so I may have missed somethings, but it worked well for me.

Good Things about this Art Fair: They have volunteers to help load and unload. The give out texts for information like weather reports and they were really on point with a storm that was headed our way so we could prepare. It is in a downtown location so it is busy during the day with business folks and then it is busier at night with the bands playing. This was my first show ever and it has sat the bar high!
I had a great time and look forward to doing it again. They also had a special artist bathroom and lounge.
Bad Things about this Art Fair: The load in and out is not the easiest with being in a downtown location and then having to walk a bit to your booth BUT they have people to help you! They try real hard to keep it running smooth!
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show: Just look on a map on how the park is set up so you know how far you are walking. If you are in the towers part be prepared for the wind tunnel effect in between the buildings.
