Good Things about this Art Fair:
Beautiful venue in Loring Park. Shade trees everywhere, tons of space behind your booth and load-in and -out are easy.
Volunteers bring water, bagels and coffee provided in the mornings, etc.
What could this Art Fair have done better?:
Stopping by to offer to booth sit with some frequency would be better. I was offered that but once in the weekend.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
This show used to be on the same weekend as Uptown Art Fair but it's been moved to allow customers to give Loring all of their attention.
The demographics here are pretty favorable, as locals live in condos and apartments near downtown Mpls. If you have yard items it may well be a harder sell, but if you have all price points covered and a good selection of truly different, high quality art, then you have a shot at doing well here.
Additional Commentary on this Show:
I felt the crowds were pretty good; there seemed to be people coming past the booth 5-10 at a time pretty much all day, both days. I suspect there were well over 10,000 people attending, maybe as much as 20,000. Watching people stroll by you get the impression that very few are hurting for money, although it's not a super-high-dollar neighborhood. Just a good solid economic base and folks with midwestern values who want something high quality and unique for their money. The quality of the work was quite good here so bring your A-game as an artist.

Good Things about this Art Fair:
The park is beautiful, the people very friendly and it was run very professionally.
Getting in and out for setup was great!
This show runs on the same weekend as two other BIG shows - Uptown Art Fair and Powderhorn Art Fair and a shuttle bus runs people between all three.
This is my first experience with this art fair and I would definitely apply again.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
The ground on some of the booths slopes downward...made setup a bit challenging since my jewelry cases need to be level. I was fighting gravity the whole time.
The show shut down early on Sunday due to inclement weather but that is not the show's fault and it was a plus that they cared so much about the artists not to chance or put us in harms way...
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
Apply. It's a beautiful show in one of the nicest city parks Minneapolis has to offer.
Be prepared with a few blocks to prop your display or tent up if you need, and be ready to meet some of the nicest people who have genuine interest in the arts.

Good Things about this Art Fair:
Very, very easy set up; buses bring patrons from the other Minneapolis art fairs, beautiful location, high quality artists, great music that isn't too distracting, fun food trucks and the organizers are diligent against "buy and sell"; colorful crowd.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
I didn't make enough money.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
I am new to this so I'm uncomfortable giving advice to more experienced artists. I had a positive experience despite the low $$ and would do this show again for sure! The other artists there were really high quality and my neighbors were great. Traffic was good - I think my pricing was off or something?

I wish I were as lucky as Joan in the previous review. I cannot complain about anything except the sales. This was only my first year trying this fair. I had a customer who I met at a previous fair stop by and buy a few things. That saved the show for me. Otherwise, sold nothing but a few $10 sketches. It was a bad buying year overall, so maybe that was why. Other vendors around me seemed disappointed as well. The people who run this show are absolutely wonderful, and set-up was very humane. A huge relief over other shows.
