Good Things about this Art Fair: GREAT artist amenities...they feed you all three days. Breakfast both Saturday and Sunday, lunch on Sunday, and a nice catered artist dinner on Saturday with a cash bar. Snacks are brought around by volunteers on both days. Easy set-up on the grounds around the Lakeville Art Center. Volunteers are very friendly and always asking if we need anything. Jurors introduce themselves and allow you to talk about your art with them for 2 minutes (at each booth) before viewing your work...much better than the 'walk by' with someone putting a sticker on your booth sign that you get at some shows.
Bad Things about this Art Fair: Attendance was much better in 2012 thanks to perfect weather both days. The previous two years attendance was lower due to cold and rain on one of the two days each weekend. It's a small show, only 50-60 artists and of mixed quality with some newby artists mixed in with some very high end artists. Not all artists had good sales, but we were all treated very well and fed both days!
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show: It's a small show, mostly attended by local patrons and local artists. Don't expect big numbers here, but you will be welcomed by the community and volunteers and it isn't a very difficult show to do.
