Good Things about this Art Fair: The producer was the best producer we have worked with. They were absolutely amazing. The location was also beautiful.

Bad Things about this Art Fair: The sales were not very good. Other artists were struggling as well. As a Contemporary artist, it may not have been the best crowd.

Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show: Plan for staying in another small town near this show, it is very pricey. Also, have many prices and sizes. There is not a lot of parking, which means people do not want to lug something huge and heavy.

This is the second year I have participated, and I agree with many of Jim’s comments.

The good – location is beautiful. The organizers do a great job in working with the artists and helping where and when needed. And like Jim, I had a lot of wonderful comments on my artwork. I heard that the artists and artwork being accepted have improved over the last few years, and I thought there was a nice selection of art.

The not so good – The crowds seemed to be smaller this year than last, and they did not appear to be buying much. The artists that seemed to be doing okay were the Jewelers, but the ones I talked with were only doing fair. After two years trying to sell sculptures with not much luck, I will really need to think about returning.

This is one of those fairs, where I feel the organizers are doing the right thing, so how do you get buying public out.

Good Things about this Art Fair: Beautiful location in the mountains outside of Denver. Lots of tall trees in the park to offer some shade for artists & patrons. Evergreen seems to be a fairly affluent area, and is close to Denver. They had shuttles for the artists since the the artist parking was not right at the site. They seemed to have efficient loading/set-up plans at the lot right by the site. Booth sitters and people bringing around water. I had a lot of excellent feedback on my art, and met some very nice people.

Bad Things about this Art Fair: My only disappointment with the fair was really poor sales. Some other artists also mentioned poor sales. The jewelers near my booth seemed to be doing very well. I didn't see a lot of customers carrying painting/prints/photos, so I wonder how well the fine art sells at this event. I personally think the booth fee is a bit too high compared to the sales I saw.

Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show: It is a beautiful location and probably worth trying if you are in the area. To me it felt more like a jewelry & craft kind of crowd, as opposed to people looking for art to hang on their walls.
Additional Commentary on this Show: As far as attendance, I'm guessing it was under 1000 for the two days.
