Good Things about this Art Fair:
Location: The venue is downtown on closed streets in a park under the live oaks. There is plenty of parking for patrons.
The host offers generous amenities, including breakfasts, snacks, and awards. Set up is on Friday, which gives you plenty of time to get ready.
What could this Art Fair have done better?:
There was one year when you could see a line of storms coming on radar Sunday afternoon and they refused to let us break down until after they went through. No one came afterwards.
Break down is a bit of a free for all, particularly on the narrow streets. They could do a better job of policing who is ready to bring their vehicle in.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
This is the only fine arts festival in Tallahassee all year. People come out to buy.
Additional Commentary on this Show:
This was my first show in 2021 after almost 18 months off for Covid. The booths were spread out and they had to limit attendance and require masks to comply with the city directives.
But people came out in droves. And they were buying. It was as though they were craving some semblance of normalcy, and this satisfied that urge.
