Just recovered from an exhausting 2 days at the Fall Craft Fair. Incredible show. Crowd was humongous. We had folks waiting IN LINE to get into our tent. Two people taking money with 5 customers each in line. Best organization we have seen at Mt. Dora, traffic control set up and break down was impressive, no line to set up, break down and pack up was an hour and 10 minutes, and on the road. Sales up 155% over last year!

Good Things about this Art Fair: Buyers. Tens of Thousands of them. Estimated attendance of 300,000 is real. Unbelievable traffic and sales
Bad Things about this Art Fair: Anything bad would be relative to managing 300 vendors and 300,000 shoppers, so irrelevant. Believe it or not, Buy/Sell going on and the managers are new, but I would guess that will end this year.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show: Plan. Don't be in a hurry, leave plenty of time for setup and tear down. Be considerate of everyone else. Bring a LOT of product and help. We had a 10x20 with 5 workers helping customers, another ringing sales and another one for running and getting stuff
Additional Commentary on this Show (or about this form): This group is so easy to work with. Highly recommended!

Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
I think this is a worthwhile show and applied for next year before I even left it this year. I will give some thought to the logistics since it was clear those who had participated before knew the "drill" about how to get your vehicle to your booth...the early bird gets the worm! Ideally, I would like to stay in town and not have to remove my vehicle from the parking areas, but I think that might be cost prohibitive. I stayed in Leesburg, about a 15-20 minute drive. I was early, but not early enough, and ended up parking 4 or 5 blocks from my booth. When I arrived I was able to park about a block away, which made transporting my display and merchandise easier. When the show was over, I couldn't get my car into the street where my booth was for about 1 1/2 hours. I was alone, but if you have 2 people, one can stay in pack up while the other gets the car and sits in line for their turn to get in.
Additional Commentary on this Show (or about this form): I am new to large out-of-town shows, so perhaps my experience is to be expected, but I hope to be smarter about it as I attend more big shows. Would I still recommend this show? Absolutely!
