Good Things about this Art Fair:
I have had great sales here in the past. In 2007 I did this show with my clay tiles and small sculptures. My tiles pretty much sold out and my booth was mobbed all weekend. Since then I have changed my medium to fiber and last year sold wearable handmade felted, nuno felted, and handwovens, with reasonably good sales and very good interest.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
This show seems plagued with administrative problems. I have two Zapp accounts, both fiber, but two separate bodies of work, one in wearable and one in soft sculpture. I applied and was invited for both bodies of work. I sent in two separate forms with two separate checks (the only way to pay) with the obvious request that both booths adjoin, and further that I be placed next to or near my spouse.
Both checks were cashed, and it was not until a week before the show when the artist map was online, that I realized I only had one booth. The show director refused to fix it, stating she didn't want to "tell the booth assign woman, who had been doing it 15 years, how to do her job." Despite this a wait listed artist got in at the last minute right near us and was given a double booth! Also, I learned that a "vendor" (not artist) selling boxes and boxes of wooden spoons and who had two booths with a corner (essentially 3 spo ts) did not make his inventory but that another person makes them who was not there. This person was across from me and played country music loudly off and on all weekend.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
I could be wrong but it seemed to me 2D may do better here, with possible exceptions of course.
Additional Commentary on this Show:
This could be a great show but refuses to be. Some really great artists don't get in, buy sell still sneaks in, first time show artists making functional get best of show, and the last director is in prison for embezzlement from the show. (She took bribes from people to get in the show and possibly for awards, and got caught after years and years of this.)

Good Things about this Art Fair: The town and surroundings are outstanding. The committee treats artists better than anywhere I have have been.
Bad Things about this Art Fair: The people didn't spend money. Very few artists did anything. A person selling large crude furniture made from pressure treated wood did well as did the person selling the yard art hummingbirds.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show: If you don't have hotel or travel, it is a nice event.
