Good Things about this Art Fair:
Easy set up and take down.
You can expand to the back for a 10 x 15 booth.
Good attendance.
High end art and fine craft.
Took care of the artist for water during the day.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
Demograhics of attendees
To many other fairs going on at the same time like taste of Coeur d'Alene and a retail resale event on 5 blocks of downtown.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
Good to apply to but check locations as there are dead zones. Also, have a wide price range.

Good Things about this Art Fair:
Location: Park like setting on a college campus close to downtown near the lake.
Parking is easy. Load in/out was fairly smooth.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
Terrible sales. Ineffective booth layout. Some booths have very little visibility. Few artist amenities.
Can be very hot. Got the impression that the show is not well organized. Load in/out somewhat unstructured, but not terrible.
Most people attending were browsers. Not a lot of savvy buyers.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
I'd red flag this show. I've done it twice. In both cases, sales were meager - with last year's show I almost got zero sales.
If you do decide to do it, insist on a booth along the outer arc of booths - next to the road that separates the venue from the Spokane river and the lake. This is where all the foot traffic flows around.
If you are on the opposite side closer to the buildings, your sales will suffer tremendously.
Be prepared for summer thunderstorms. Low price points do best.
Additional Commentary on this Show:
Will never do it again

Good Things about this Art Fair:
Beautiful location on the North Idaho College. Good quality art, well juried show.
Bad Things about this Art Fair:
3 shows in CDA this weekend, this is the higher end, more heavily juried show but attendees don't always seem to know the difference between the shows. Locals tell us the marketing has decreased over the past several years since they went from being a commission show to a flat booth fee.
Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
Booth placement can be very odd, they have a tendency to place jewelers next to other jewelers for some reason. It's a very HOT show to do, request a booth in the shade and come prepared with fans, water and ways to keep cool. For us, with a $400 booth fee at a 3 day show we feel sales are a little low, we are considering putting this one on a rotation to do every 2-3 years.
Additional Commentary on this Show:
This can be a very long 3 day show, the crowds are never huge but are fairly constant up until about 2 PM each day with a bit of an evening crowd showing up again. Middle of the afternoon you see foot traffic really die down.
2014 we also had a sudden storm come up Saturday evening, closed down about 30 minutes early and by then the rain and wind were really picking up.
