Good Things about this Art Fair: It is in a small park in an affluent neighborhood. It's pretty!

Lots of people came, and lots of people came to buy.

Patrons and organizers were very nice.

There's a big prize for first place.

Bad Things about this Art Fair: Parking is tight, which can make set-up and take-down difficult. Count on dollying everything.

It rained overnight, and in some areas of the park, this caused big problems. Where I was, it was OK, but in other places, organizers had to strew straw around to soak up the rain and mud.

Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show: This is a show that you have to pay for in advance, ie, send your check in with your application. I really object to this in general, but I would do this show again, even so.
Additional Commentary on this Show:I really enjoyed myself.

Good Things about this Art Fair:
Many sophisticated 30-somethings interested in art, not just strolling. Nice to chat with too. The quality of art is mid to high. Good music.

Bad Things about this Art Fair:
Parking for set up and for the entire time is on the street and is very tough. If there is a Nor'easter, the area near the river can flood, I am told.

Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
Mid-range prices seem to do best. Many buyers have young kids so money is not easy yet they have walls with bare spots to fill.

Get to the free coffee and donuts early, they run out.

Additional Comments on this Show:
Show is run by the Hope House non-profit for people with disabilities. Shows are in May and again in October.
