Good Things about this Art Fair:
This show is supported by the City of Richardson and as such is logistically well managed. There are lots of workers, and boy scouts there to keep things moving smoothly both for load-in and out.

The quality of the art at this show has, in my experience, been one of the best I've been at.

Artist amenities have improved over the years, the artist tent has water, snacks and coffee for the caffeine crowd. Booth sitters come by frequently with some occasional lapses but still very good.

The welcoming committee is always the best. The pre-show artists dinner is quite nice but limited if you have dietary restrictions.

Bad Things about this Art Fair:
This show is held in a small park which has a congestion problem during load-in and load-out. They've mitigated that by allowing load-in on Thursday mornings for big rigs and Thursday afternoon for others as-well-as all day Friday for everyone.

This year it went very smoothly. Load-out requires more patience although if you are on the north side of the show you can park on Belt Line Rd and load up there, it really helps.

The crowds seemed thinner this year as-well-as spending. It is a big show so dollars are spread very thin. This is a dog friendly show, as-well-as birds, cats and rabbits!

The hours for this show are a little long. Sat. 10 till 7, most people are gone by 6, Sun 10 -5 people don't get there till 11 or so.

Sales this year were slow in coming and meager at best for this artist as-well-as his neighbors. A painter across the isle had only one sale Sunday, I had none on Sunday as did the painter next to me.

Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
Be patient and pleasant, these people are doing the best they can logistically to get you in and out as painlessly as possible, it has gotten considerably better in the last few years.
