Good Things about this Art Fair:
Great location, easy load in/out, very pleasant and accommodating staff, a very well-run show.

What could this Art Fair have done better?:
The judge didn't even look at a good number of the booths. Somebody ran by and put stickers on all of the booth tags, but nobody near me saw the judge.

Hey, but one of my neighbors won an award (well deserved) without ever seeing a judge. So that's interesting.

Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show:
Some people did really well, some did not. Definitely more buyers on Saturday.

It can be incredibly hot in Florida in May. We got lucky this year with pretty good weather.

The crowds seemed low on Sunday considering this show was advertised as "a Mother's Day tradition."

Additional Commentary on this Show:
It's a long-running event (46 years, I think) in an area that isn't saturated with shows.

patti

this show is HOT! even for a Floridian like me!lots of patrons, good buying.. my only criticism of this show is same people win the same awards every year.. judge is not interested at all in looking at anything different.. did not even look in booth just posted sticker on booth to show she was there...other artists said same thing!

Bad Things about this Art Fair: HOT !! Bring a fan. Judge didn't walk into the booths. She judged from the comfort of a golf cart as she drove by.

Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show: Bring a fan. Make sure you have an awning or umbrella that you can get under. Bring lots of cold water.

Good Things about this Art Fair: Easy setup on Friday, friendly helpful staff, they bring a breakfast bag on Sat and bottle water during the day for the artists. Awards reception indoors with food & drink. Artists are welcome to hang out afterwards on the 2nd floor patio to listen to live music on the lake and fireworks. Patrons are enthusiastic and willing to purchase art.

Bad Things about this Art Fair: As it is held in May the weather can be very hot. Mister fans are placed around the show as well as an air conditioned tent for relief.

Advice to Other Artists Considering this Show: Great show to end the Florida show season if you are here at that time. Don't know if I would travel from out of state just for this one with fuel etc costing what it does these days.
